Welcome to
the Fire Door Academy.
The Fire Door Academy delivers training and qualification related to the UK fire door industry. We offer online and on-site training in fire door installation, maintenance and inspection. Our fire door installation course is approved by FireQual, giving our students peace of mind their qualification is meaningful, relevant and of high quality.
The Fire Door Academy is part of Independent Fire Safety Services Ltd (IFSS). A UK-based company.
Above all else, it is our mission to ensure that the UK is equipped with the fire door specialists needed to deliver the highest possible standards, compliance and value when it comes to fire door installation and maintenance.
THE BENEFITS OF an IFSS FIRE DOOR QUALIFICATION
Students who successfully complete parts I & II of the IFSS QUALIFICATION IN TIMBER FIRE DOOR INSTALLATION in their demonstrability-proven abilities and understanding. Not only have they demonstrated that they have the theoretical knowledge required, but also, crucially, they have been assessed by conducting a real onsite installation, where real-world conditions and challenges are presented as part of the assessment.
Safety
Fire Safety standards exist to protect lives and buildings, but these standards are only effective if those installing life-saving components such as Fire Doors are truly competent. Our courses ensure that this is the case.
Compliance
Fire doors are either compliant or not. There is no middle ground or room for error. Successful students will have a clear understanding of fire door compliance.
Reassurance
Responsible persons can be assured that rather than completing an online-only installation course, ‘card-carrying’ IFSS-qualified installers not only know how to fit fire doors correctly, but they have also proven it under rigorous assessment conditions where a ‘pass’ depends on a fully compliant installation.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to provide realistic, affordable, and relevant fire door installation training to anyone working in fire door installation. Fire doors save lives, but only if installed correctly. Our courses are designed to make compliance a reality rather than an ideal.
